TT-1/TT-1A Complete
The TT-1 kit cost $134.95 originally and 149.95 for the TT-1A. Today on eBay it sells for between 300 and 500 or more. It is still a very good tube tester by any standards. The TT-1A is almost an exact copy of the Weston 981 tube tester. I always wanted another TT-1A but this one was probably the most unusual purchase I ever made on on eBay. This was advertised as unassembled and never used. The original owner said that parts never came with it, weird! If you look at the assembly the mechanical is almost complete except for one pot and the roll chart. What makes this even more mysterious is that the assembly does not follow the manual. There are parts and wiring harnesses that need to be installed before the other mechanical pieces are assembled. I bought this because it was like new and I thought about restoring/building it. As you can see I bought a second TT-1A in excellent working condition. I will keep the second unit for spare parts since they are all new. I plan on disassembling the unbuilt unit and put the parts in my database in case someone else needs them.
